Wow, it's been 2 years since I've blogged. Well here goes-
Beat cancer,
Been to NYC and back,
Pray more than ever,
Life getting simpler,
Peacefully thankful,
Staying in the moment,
Love only,
Watching birds,
Paying attention,
Truth is Truth,
Loving friends and enemies,
Forgiving everything and everybody,
More later.

Not The 60's
Let's ban together and 'take it to the streets' instead of taking antidepressants. Let us take action instead of getting depressed, feeling powerless and eating and/or drinking too much over the state of our countrys' economic woes. Now if we do this it means we have to take care of each other... take action and care...wow...what a great chance to feel alive because we will be truly living.
Our leaders are not going to make the changes we need because it's all about not buying the products of those that are causing the problems.
What have we got to lose? Our jobs?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

How can we make a real difference?
Move near to where we work
Sell the car and mass transit that works will be built - freeing up a bunch of personal cash
Bike and bike lanes will appear
Rent don't buy
Don't use credit
Sell or give away surplus goods and down-size living quarters.
Share housing and expenses
Host neighborhood get-togethers in our homes for sharing of ideas and planning marches

On Heaven & Earth
How near to equal status will women be in this world before it ends? How good will be the good and how evil the evil before the harvest and the return of the King? We have a ways to go and it appears to be not much. As the bride of Christ unites with her Groom and the earth dies away- worlds within worlds free from sin will rise with her to a life she was born to inherit. And what life this is we have only hints.
It is written all of nature will join in the resurrection and all in Christ are united: walls down- barriers removed. All good survives.
As individuals we are completely fulfilled in who we were created to be.
We will know each other as we know ourselves and know God as He knows us. We will share in the lives of others in ways we never could have guessed...shadows removed and tears wiped away.
It is written we cannot fully imagine how good our lives will be but by Gods' Holy Spirit we have an inkling and can rightly use our imaginations to think up the best we can imagine and thrill our own hearts in knowing that it's no where near good enough!
There is no time in heaven, therefore when we close our eyes here in death we will be opening them again to see and greet in unspeakable Joy our loved ones in the world to come!
All beauty and all things true since time began will be there. Our life experiences purged from sin will accompany us as we step into what is just the beginning of our completely true lives in Christ in a New Heaven and a New Earth.

All my children will be there. Christ said what ever we ask in His name...
All my family
All my neighbors
All my enemies
It is written we ask not anywhere near enough.
God save the whole world!
How much more could I imagine?
There, we will be able to move freely about in a world infinitely more interesting and spacious than anything here on earth. On greeting a friend in heaven we will be sharing the joy of each others stored up treasures. Maybe the Joy of a mother's gently rocking of her child on a soft breezy sunny morning while singing a song of heaven...that moment, this moment ,that joy, our joy.
I see these thoughts are simply musings. Every thought so far only tells me my thinking is much too small and incapable of doing any better. Truth is, the great Reality cannot be described at all. The only thing I can say that is true is that I cannot express the inexpressible...but I can know the inexpressible by the love of God in Christ.
Jesus is preparing us a home and He will take us there when it's ready to be with Him forever and ever.

Worship
A few days ago I was feeling lonely on a scenic walk and remembered I could ask God to meet this need...and so I did. Shortly afterwards my heart filled with joy and wonder at the beauty before my eyes which was God reminding me He was with me. This joy was magnified in remembering all the times God had done this same thing for me over the years. My response was "I love you".
Today on my walk I felt lonely again and this time I just said "I love you". Instantly my heart filled again with that joy connected to 'all joy'.
Wow.
I think I'm on to something here.

The Final Judgement
..."Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me." -Jesus Christ

Found Treasure
Met a young man at the bus stop today. I was already there as I watched him approach coming from the hospital. He was limping and one arm hung stiff at his side, his fingers slightly curled, and as he slowly walked towards where I was standing I sensed something very special about him. I thought he must have been in an accident because of how young he looked. Too young for a stroke.
But a stroke it was.
I was astonished at his story. He had an easy way about him, a ready smile and seemed at peace. He had lived an entire life time since the stroke changed his life five years ago at the age of 25. In answer to my questions he good naturedly explained that he was a real "turd" before he had the stroke and was into drugs. That all stopped when he had a seizure in his sleep and woke up in the hospital to the news that he had a large brain tumor removed from his left temporal lobe and blood clots in arteries above his heart caused a stroke. The doctors couldn't give him a year to live and here he was- 5 years later- a volunteer at the hospital helping other stroke victims because he wanted to give back what he had received that helped him recover the most...the kind words of encouragement...someone to talk to when needed. His doctors are amazed. And he's pretty happy too.
We both got off at the same place and he needed help finding a shop where he was going to meet his 8 year old daughter to celebrate her birthday. Since I live in the area I was able to take him there...and very happily. As we walked we smiled and laughed and then I said goodbye.
I found a treasure today.
A joyful encounter.
